Remembrance of Peace – 11th November 2018 11am:

Community celebration in Auchtertool Kirk 100 years since “peace broke out” ending World War 1. Auchtertool’s community war memorial, uniquely, is a window in the kirk.

SERVICES in AUCHTERTOOL KIRK 9.30am Sundays

2018 is the Year of Young People YoYP. We made a start on 28th January.

And over the next Sundays, on and off, we’ll explore young peoples’ stories, in Bible and in todays life.

On August 12th, we were thinking about the 12-year-old girl who was considered dead but was revived by Jesus.

Sun. 19th Aug. 9.30am: all-age, hands-on service “the questions & ideas of Young People”: listen to them, and give them room – just as Jesus was a 12-year-old boy and he was listened to.

  • Tue.28th & Wed.29th Aug. Festival of Township – Community Days,  being held in the Marquee, Town Square Kirkcaldy, 10am until 3.00pm.

OTHER EVENTS:

14.-18. August, all 7:30pm in Palmerston Place Church Edinburgh: Legacy; Using shadows and innovative physical theatre, this Saltmine production brings history to life at Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Consumed with guilt and wrestling with darkness, young Martin Luther’s faith brings him close to the brink. As he wrestles with the Bible, despairing of ever being worthy, he comes to a startling revelation: salvation comes through faith alone and can never be bought. Legacy: The Story of Martin Luther will be performed at Palmerston Place Church from 14th – 18th August 2018 (Tuesday – Friday at 7.30pm, Saturday at 2.30pm). You can find out more about the show and the company, watch the promotional trailer and book tickets here: https://www.facebook.com/events/2581326212092452/
